Steam and Steel on Preorder!

Steam and Steel from Lock 'n Load Publishing

Steam punk, or at least a derivitive thereof, comes to Lock 'n Load Publishing! In 1914, after smashing a Russian offensive in the East, Imperial Germany unleashes its Schlieffen Plan on an unsuspecting France. Led by its armored U-Wagen strike force, the German army literally runs over the French and nearly reaches Paris before the Land Dreadnoughts of the BEF first hold and then drive back the enemy thrusts. By the end of 1916, the Americans have entered the war and their own fast and heavily armed mechanized forces are poised to enter the fray. Click here for more info.

Nuklear Winter '68: We decided to go with a mounted board and this delayed the game. We have accepted almost all the proofs and expect the game to begin printing within a few days. It's a unique game, set in a unique alternate history. The former German territory, transformed into a wasteland by the war-ending nuclear holocaust of 1946, is the setting for this three-way battle for supremacy. Fight as the resurgent Drittes Reich with their powerful E-100 tanks and reworked Stukas. Assume command of NATO, with Patton M60s and Russian T-62s, or lead the mysterious Black Hand, mutant warriors who are masters of beast and machine alike. Click here for more info.  Check out a nice NW68 example of play here on Boardgame Geek.

Heroes of the Pacific Marches On!

Lock 'n Load: Heroes of the PacificAs many of you know, Lock 'n Load: Heroes of the Pacific on preorder. In this complete Lock 'n Load module, U.S. Marines and U. S. Army fight Nippon's best. The Japanese are the most interesting nationality yet covered by the Lock 'n Load series. The Squads are three-step units. They don't shake, but suffer reduction. Furthermore, the morale increases with each step, making them tough to eliminate, necessitating a bunch of bloody melees. There are no hidden units. Japanese Ninjutsu movement allows the Japanese to appear suddenly, but not always as planned. Finally, Banzai rules are simple, straightforward. A Japanese leader passing a morale check can call for a Banzai. Eligible Squads increase movement and morale, and aren't stopped by a casualties result. The target must be reachable in the current turn. There's no tedious tracking long drawn-out Banzai charches. This is what Lock 'n Load was made for, small, squad level battles. Order here.
